Do I really live in "Booneyville"? Elliot and I decided to see if the Calls - Jason and Dadra (day-dra) - would like to go on a double date with us. We've become friends with them as we cheered on our BYU Cougars during the college football season. They both went to BYU; Jason was in the same dorms as we were our freshman year; we like football; Elliot and Jason are similar in their likes and dislikes; Jason and Elliot both do spreadsheets for EVERYTHING; and we get along really well. Not to mention that Scott and Abby - their 3 year old - absolutely love playing together!! Well, we had a gift certificate for bowling - up to four games free, so we figured we'd be frugal and enjoy some bowling. In discussing our plans, we found out Dadra and Jason had gone bowling once and found out it was "duck-bowling". Personally I hadn't ever heard of duck-bowling. Duck-bowling uses smaller pins and a smaller ball (without holes in it). It's like bowling with those plastic bowling pins and balls you get as a child. I was game for duck-bowling; however, I was outnumbered. So, I decided to check around with the other bowling alleys in town. To my surprise I found that duck-bowling was the only thing offered from 5:00 -9:00 p.m. at all bowling alleys. Even searching 30 minutes away there weren't any open lanes for 10-pin bowling until after 8:00 p.m. To our luck, Dadra and Jason have the Wii, so we bowled on the Wii! And then stayed up until 3:00 a.m. It was fun! We had a really great time! But now I know I do indeed live in "Booneyville"!!
