S.M.I.L.E. is my motto. The acronym is found in the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ.

About a month ago Elliot got a raise (:) YEA) and more responsibilities (:( Not so yea). So, we started looking for a new place to live that would be closer to his work. Right now he commutes three hours every day. And that is without traffic, so if his new responsibilities were to keep him at work even for 30 minutes longer, he'd end up in traffic for an additional hour. Needless to say, we decided we ought to go closer to his work then we'd see him more often and we'd have our own place and we'd be closer to civilization. :) hee-hee! We're not out in Booneyville - unless you can only duckbowl in Booneyville, then on the other hand we are in Booneyville!! Hee-hee! That is a whole other post.
So, back to our "new place". Well, when Elliot proposed the idea, I was mad/sad/mad. I finally found friends that like me for me and not just as "Brock's Mom" and I feel needed/wanted/accepted. And I like it here. I'm comfortable. Brock has friends and has a fantastic school. I thought I was just being selfish. I decided to put my wants and desires on the back-burner and decided support Elliot. It's not like Elliot was taking me FAR away without being able to see any of my new friends. And I like Elliot :) and it'd be nice to be able to spend more time with him. So, we pushed forward.
Elliot went searching. He found 6 places he deemed reasonable and we went to check them out. 3 of the 6 I took one sniff at the door and didn't breathe the entire time we were in there. We were in and out so fast!! Do these people not realize how important the smell is????? Apparently not. The last one we saw was fabulous! So, we decided to fill out paperwork and leave a deposit. Now, I've worked in leasing, so I know how it works - to an extent. 8 days later, when it stated in the paperwork that it'd take 5 days, we found out the owner didn't like our "profile". We were denied. Several people in our church knew we were leaving and when they found out we had been denied, their comments were, "Yes, that phone call worked!" or "Yes, yes, yes.....oh, I'm sorry" with big grins. Or "Our prayers were answered!!" Hee-hee! See what I mean when I say I feel wanted here! (I hope you weren't just saying those things and now are secretly annoyed we are staying. :) Hee-hee!!)
Anyway, to make a long story short, we are staying in Hagerstown for a little while longer. And we are excited about that!! :)

It's funny how things work out sometimes! ;) That's so crazy that they denied you guys!!! Whatever!
I think you should go back to the owners of the other 3 houses and give them a scentsy party/catalog! :)
I love Stepanie's comment aboout the Scentsy. I'm glad you will get to see part of the young women's project through. Are you staying with the rents?
