In the Bible, Exodus 20 the Lord gives the 10 Commandments. One of the Ten Commandments is in verse 8 "Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy". Brock must have been learning about the Ten Commandments in his Sunday class because he mentioned how we shouldn't do any cooking on Sundays. In Exodus 20 verse 10 it says, "But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God, in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates". So, as a family we're thinking about not doing "heavy" cooking on Sundays. Yes, we'll eat. But we'll either do casseroles that only have to be put in the oven and baked or we'll have special "Sunday cereals". Once again though, I'm learning at the feet of my 6-year old!!
