Yesterday morning I woke up between Scott and Elliot. Yes, my boys sometimes end up in my bed with me. I hadn't had a restful night - my back was bothering me, so I attempted to get out from between the two of them. I moved the wrong way and wrenched my back and had the most terrible pain shoot down my left leg!! I semi-screamed, still not wanting to awaken Scott, but desperately needing Elliot to move and help me out of bed. Elliot got up and I started to get up and couldn't. All I could do was cry. Seriously cry. It hurt so bad!! I haven't EVER been in that much pain. Not even while I was in labor with my 2 boys. It was horrible. I couldn't sit up, I couldn't stand up. There was absolutely no relief. I asked Elliot to go get me some of his Mom's vicadin. I got a blessing, was promised some relief and then got into the car to head to the E.R. After 3 hours, a test for a urinary tract infection - WHAT?????? -, 2 injections in the rear, 4 pills, one almost upchuck episode and some crackers, I left the hospital with a "Since you can go to the bathroom, this isn't an emergency. It doesn't matter that I have pins and needles going from my thigh to the bottom of my feet, I can still go to the bathroom, so it's not an emergency." Wow!! For the last 2 days, I've been laying down and taking pills. I still have the sensation that the back of my left leg and my left foot is almost asleep, but I'm alright. I'm glad Elliot's been around to bring me flowers, get me food, and make sure I stay off my back. The boys have been excellent too - "I'm sad you're back hurts Mom." Yes, me too!! I'll keep you updated as I go to my chiropractor tomorrow and see about an MRI. Fun? - Not much! Happy Easter to everyone though. I'm sure glad Jesus suffered for my pains and infirmities. I have a greater appreciation for Him at this Easter season.

I hope you feel better!! Strange that a urinary tract infection hurts so much. Who knew. I am glad that Elliot has been so supportive. What a great guy.

That sounds like a nightmare of pain. I'm glad your boys are taking care of you.
